Chapter 26

1 CONCERNING the divisions of the porters whom David the king appointed as guards: Meshelemiah of the sons of Joseph.

2 And Meshelemiah had seven male children: namely, Zechariah his first-born, Jediael the second, Zechariah the third, Nathanael the fourth,

3 Elam the fifth, Johanan the sixth, Jadie the seventh.

4 Moreover, the sons of Ober-edom were Shemaiah his first-born, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Shabar the fourth, and Matlal the fifth,

5 Gemaiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Pali the eighth; for the LORD blessed him.

6 Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their fathers; for they were mighty men of valour.

7 The sons of Shemaiah: Gathael, Cadhael, Obedael, and Zechariah, the mighty man, and Elijah and Semachiah.

8 All these were of the sons of Ober-edom, they and their sons and their brethren, able men with strength for the service of the sanctuary, sixty-two sons of Ober-edom.

9 And Meshelemiah's eldest son had sons, mighty men, eighteen.

10 Also Hasah, of the children of Merari, had sons, mighty men; his eldest son died, and his father made the second the chief, but he did not call him by the name of the eldest.

11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hasah were thirteen.

12 Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having watch one opposite another, to minister in the house of the LORD.

13 And they cast lots, the least as well as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

15 To Ober-edom southward; and to his sons the porches.

16 To Shuppim and Hasah the lot fell westward, as far as the gate which is made in the road that goes up, watch opposite watch.

17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the porches two by two.

18 At Parbar westward, four at the road and two at Parbar.

19 These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Korah and among the sons of Merari.

20 And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the storehouses of the house of God and over the storehouses of the dedicated things.

21 The sons of Laadan: of the descendants of Gershon, Laadan, chiefs of the fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, was Nahli.

22 The sons of Nahli: Zetham and Joel his brother who were over the storehouses of the house of the LORD.

23 Of the Amramites and the Izharites, the Hebronites and the Uzzielites,

24 Samuel the son of Gershon, the son of Moses, was chief in charge of the storehouses.

25 And his brother Eliezer, Rehabiah his son and Isaiah his son and Joram his son and Zichri his son and Shelomith his son.

26 This Shelomith and his brothers were in charge of all storehouses of the dedicated things, which David the king, the chiefs of the fathers, the commanders of the thousands and the hundreds, and the commanders of the army had dedicated.

27 From spoils won in battles they dedicated some to maintain the house of the LORD.

28 And all that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Kish and Abner the son of Ner and Joab the son of Zuriah had dedicated; and whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the charge of Shelomith and of his brothers.

29 Of the Izharites: Chenaniah and his sons were for the secular business of Israel, as scribes and judges.

30 And of the Hebronites: Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, one thousand and seven hundred, were officers over the Israelites on this side of Jordan westward, in charge of all the business of the LORD and in the service of the king.

31 Among the Hebronites was Neriah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of their fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.

32 And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chiefs of the fathers, whom King David made chiefs over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God and the affairs of the king.

1 Череды привратников: из сыновей Кореевых Мешелемия, сын Коре, одного из сыновей Асафовых.

2 Сыновья Мешелемии: первенец Захария, второй Иедиаил, третий Зевадия, четвертый Иафниил,

3 Пятый Елам, шестой Иеханан, седьмой Елиегоенай.

4 Сыновья Овед-Едома: первенец Шемаия, второй Иегозавад, третий Иоах, четвертый Сахар, пятый Нафанаил,

5 Шестой Аммиил, седьмой Иссахар, осьмой Пеуллефай; поелику Бог благословил его.

6 У Шемаии, сына его, родились сыновья, начальствовавшие в своих поколениях; потому что они были люди отличные.

7 Сыновья Шемаии: Офни, Рефаил и Овед-Елзавад; братья его, люди отличные, Елия и Семахия.

8 Все они из сыновей Овед-Едома; они, и сыновья их, и братья их были люди отличные по способности к служению: у Овед-Едома их было шестьдесят два.

9 У Мешелемии сыновей и братьев, людей отличных, было восемнадцать.

10 У Хосы, одного из сыновей Мерариных, сыновья: главный Шимри; (хотя он не был первенцем, но отец его поставил его главным;)

11 Второй Хелкия, третий Тевалия, четвертый Захария; всех сыновей и братьев у Хосы тринадцать.

12 По ним распределены череды привратников; сим главам мужей вверена стража, наряду с братьями их, для служения в доме Господа.

13 И бросили они жеребьи по своим поколениям, как малый, так и большой, о воротах.

14 И выпал жеребий на восток Шелемии. И о сыне его, Захарии, умном советнике, бросили жеребьи, и выпал ему жеребий на север.

15 Овед-Едому на юг, а сыновьям его стоять при кладовых.

16 Шупиму и Хосе на запад у ворот Шеллехет, где дорога повышается, стража против стражи.

17 К востоку по шести левитов; к северу по четыре на день, к югу по четыре на день, у кладовых по два,

18 К западу у предместия, на дороге, по четыре, а у самого предместия по два.

19 Вот череды привратников сыновей Мерариных.

20 Из левитов же Ахия смотрел за сокровищами дома Божия, и за сокровищницами священных вещей.

21 Сыновья Лаедана, сыновья Герсонитян, племени Лаеданова, главы поколений Лаедана Герсонитяна, были и из племени Иехиилова.

22 Из сыновей племени Иехиилова Зефам и Иоиль, брат его, смотрели за сокровищами дома Господа.

23 Тоже из племени Амрамова, Ицгарова, Хевронова и Узиилова.

24 А Шевуил, сын Гирсома, сына Моисеева, был главным смотрителем за сокровищами.

25 Братья его от Елиезера; у него сын Рехавия, у него сын Исаия, у него сын Иорам, у него сын Зихрий, у него сын Шеломиф.

26 Сей Шеломиф и братья его смотрели за всеми сокровищницами посвященных вещей, которые посвятил царь Давид и главы поколений, тысяченачальники, сотники и военачальники.

27 Они посвящали это из военных добыч на поддержание дома Господа.

28 И все, что посвятил Самуил, прозорливец, Саул, сын Кисов, Авнер, сын Неров и Иоав, сын Церуин, все посвященное было на руках у Шеломифа и братьев его.

29 Из племени Ицгарова, Хенания и сыновья его употреблены были у Израильтян на внешнее служение, были надзирателями и судьями.

30 Из племени Хевронова, Хашавия и братья его, люди отличные, тысяча и семь сот, имели надзор над Израилем по сю сторону Иордана к западу, по всяким делам служения Господу, и по службе царской.

31 В племени Хевроновом Иерия был главою, в племени Хевроновом, в их родах и поколениях. В сороковый год царствования Давидова они осмотрены, и найдены между ними отличные люди в Иазере Галаадском.

32 Братья его, люди отличные, две тысячи семь сот, были главами поколений. Их надзору вверил царь Давид колено Рувимово и Гадово, и полколена Манассиина, по всем делам, касающимся до Бога и до царя.

1 CONCERNING the divisions of the porters whom David the king appointed as guards: Meshelemiah of the sons of Joseph.

1 Череды привратников: из сыновей Кореевых Мешелемия, сын Коре, одного из сыновей Асафовых.

2 And Meshelemiah had seven male children: namely, Zechariah his first-born, Jediael the second, Zechariah the third, Nathanael the fourth,

2 Сыновья Мешелемии: первенец Захария, второй Иедиаил, третий Зевадия, четвертый Иафниил,

3 Elam the fifth, Johanan the sixth, Jadie the seventh.

7 The sons of Shemaiah: Gathael, Cadhael, Obedael, and Zechariah, the mighty man, and Elijah and Semachiah.

7 Сыновья Шемаии: Офни, Рефаил и Овед-Елзавад; братья его, люди отличные, Елия и Семахия.

8 All these were of the sons of Ober-edom, they and their sons and their brethren, able men with strength for the service of the sanctuary, sixty-two sons of Ober-edom.

8 Все они из сыновей Овед-Едома; они, и сыновья их, и братья их были люди отличные по способности к служению: у Овед-Едома их было шестьдесят два.

9 And Meshelemiah's eldest son had sons, mighty men, eighteen.

9 У Мешелемии сыновей и братьев, людей отличных, было восемнадцать.

10 Also Hasah, of the children of Merari, had sons, mighty men; his eldest son died, and his father made the second the chief, but he did not call him by the name of the eldest.

10 У Хосы, одного из сыновей Мерариных, сыновья: главный Шимри; (хотя он не был первенцем, но отец его поставил его главным;)

11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hasah were thirteen.

11 Второй Хелкия, третий Тевалия, четвертый Захария; всех сыновей и братьев у Хосы тринадцать.

12 Among these were the divisions of the porters, even among the chief men, having watch one opposite another, to minister in the house of the LORD.

12 По ним распределены череды привратников; сим главам мужей вверена стража, наряду с братьями их, для служения в доме Господа.

13 And they cast lots, the least as well as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

13 И бросили они жеребьи по своим поколениям, как малый, так и большой, о воротах.

14 And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

14 И выпал жеребий на восток Шелемии. И о сыне его, Захарии, умном советнике, бросили жеребьи, и выпал ему жеребий на север.

15 To Ober-edom southward; and to his sons the porches.

15 Овед-Едому на юг, а сыновьям его стоять при кладовых.

16 To Shuppim and Hasah the lot fell westward, as far as the gate which is made in the road that goes up, watch opposite watch.

16 Шупиму и Хосе на запад у ворот Шеллехет, где дорога повышается, стража против стражи.

17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the porches two by two.

17 К востоку по шести левитов; к северу по четыре на день, к югу по четыре на день, у кладовых по два,

18 At Parbar westward, four at the road and two at Parbar.

18 К западу у предместия, на дороге, по четыре, а у самого предместия по два.

19 These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Korah and among the sons of Merari.

19 Вот череды привратников сыновей Мерариных.

20 And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the storehouses of the house of God and over the storehouses of the dedicated things.

20 Из левитов же Ахия смотрел за сокровищами дома Божия, и за сокровищницами священных вещей.

21 The sons of Laadan: of the descendants of Gershon, Laadan, chiefs of the fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, was Nahli.

21 Сыновья Лаедана, сыновья Герсонитян, племени Лаеданова, главы поколений Лаедана Герсонитяна, были и из племени Иехиилова.

22 The sons of Nahli: Zetham and Joel his brother who were over the storehouses of the house of the LORD.

22 Из сыновей племени Иехиилова Зефам и Иоиль, брат его, смотрели за сокровищами дома Господа.

23 Of the Amramites and the Izharites, the Hebronites and the Uzzielites,

23 Тоже из племени Амрамова, Ицгарова, Хевронова и Узиилова.

24 Samuel the son of Gershon, the son of Moses, was chief in charge of the storehouses.

24 А Шевуил, сын Гирсома, сына Моисеева, был главным смотрителем за сокровищами.

25 Братья его от Елиезера; у него сын Рехавия, у него сын Исаия, у него сын Иорам, у него сын Зихрий, у него сын Шеломиф.

26 Сей Шеломиф и братья его смотрели за всеми сокровищницами посвященных вещей, которые посвятил царь Давид и главы поколений, тысяченачальники, сотники и военачальники.
